Chapter Receives University Recognition, July 2017,

This update provided by Craig Connell, ACB President.

As we approach the 127th year of Washington State University, I am happy to report that we, the Gamma Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi, have received university recognition, without conditions. This Fall, 2017, the National organization will be on campus doing recruiting, with a coordinator on campus for nearly 6 weeks.

The effort will be difficult, and we have signed on another year's lease with our current tenant, Sigma Pi, for the fall 2017-Spring 2018 school year. This will allow us to have a small base of solid men to start the effort to fill the house in Fall 2018. Further, our reserves continue to build, allowing us to invest significant funds into improving the chapter house. Next summer I believe there to be much heavy lifting and work to be done, and I would like to start planning that now.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the following who have agreed to a 2 year ACB term, to help us get this set up right. I asked these folks as I both admire and know they truly love what it means being a Delta Sig. They are Bob Anderberg, Duffy Mahoney, Brian Valliant, Willie Deibel and Jason McClain.

Many of the existing ACB members will also stay on. We thank the others, who gave of themselves to promote the best interests of the chapter during some difficult times. There will be various amounts of effort that all will need to put forth in the near future, but having both a generational and geographically diverse ACB will help us move forward.
